Welcome to the MSA

Sept 2, 2007 005

SailMSA.com is here to inform, entertain, and give the Mactaquac sailing community a place to call an “on-line home”. No matter if you are a long-time Mactaquac sailor,   a new-to-it-all sailor, someone wondering where to keep a sailboat, or a past Mactaquac sailor looking to catch up on old friends, we think you will find something of interest on SailMSA.com

For the long time Mactaquac sailor we will focus on the events and activities of the Mactaquac Sailing Association ( Da’ MSA). These will include things like the:

  • Winter Social;
  • Annual General Meeting;
  • Monthly/Weekly Races & Pot Luck BBQs;
  • Cruise to Nackawick;
  • Cruise to Woodstock;

Additionally, we will keep you updated with developments and information like:

  • Relation with the Mactaquac Provincial Park
  • The opening and closing of York Centennial Park;
  • Planed improvements to the Marina in York Centennial Park; and,
  • MSA activities ranging from:
    • the Port-of-Potty,
    • to events planned for Fay-and-Kim’s Beach,
    • to involvement with Tourism NB’s employee appreciation day,
    • to Friends of Mactaquac’s People Power Day.

For the beginning sailor, Mactaquac is the ideal place to start and this website will help you discover why. Many of Fredericton’s “blue-water sailors” and “lower-river sailors” have cut their sailing teeth in the relative safety and friendly water of Mactaquac and then moved on to more distant water. However, Mactaquac has its place and some of NB’s most experienced people have returned to the convenience of Mactaquac permanently and others return to sail or race on occasion.
