MSA’s Conribution to NB Tourism

Ahoy: Seems the MSA’s own Peace of Mind is Tourism NB’s  “Poster Boat” and Guy is the “Poster Skipper”

Here are some pics for the 2013 NB Tourism Guide.

I hear that popular demand is having Peace of Mind’s photo moved closer to the front in 2014!

AGM Discussion on the goals/directions and actions for our club.

MSA Members

I trust that this message finds you all well and, in spite of the weather, eager to get the sailing season started.

By now you have probably had the opportunity to review the minutes of our fall meeting and read Stephen Leavitt’s message with the various attachments.

I would like to make a special request for your consideration.  At our May 1st meeting we are planning to have a pertinent discussion regarding the goals/directions and actions for our club.  Please come to our May AGM prepared to share your ideas and offer your help to implement them.  I am sure that as a team we can  continue to work together cooperatively to enrich and strengthen our club.

Boat Yard Visit Sun, March 30, 2014

Sunday, March 30 Boat Yard Visit.

Snowshoed into the yard and took a few pics. Very few tarp are looking perfect with the winter taking a toll on many.

But it is almost time for the tarps to come off and a little water never hurt a fibreglass boat. So what does it matter?

Looking forward to seeing you all in the yard and catching up on all the news.

Saturday, August 10th:

People Power Day is July 20, 2013 from Noon to 4:00 pm.

Hello All

People Power Day is July 20, 2013 from Noon to 4:00 pm.

During this event MSA members are asked to volunteer their sail boats to take the public on a short sail in the Marina area. In the past we have had great member involvement and we hope this year it will be the same.

2010 http://sailmsa.com/wordpress/?p=825

20122 http://sailmsa.com/wordpress/?p=1770

The event is put on by the Department of Tourism and includes a BBQ on site at the marina as well as Canoe and Kayak rides.  In past years the event has been popular and the Department of Tourism sees our Association as a key contributor. We see this a key to maintaining good park relations.

Wed Race – July 03, 13 “An MSA Classic”

Ahoy All:

Great race last night and still another happening Sunday. The rain is over so lets sail!

The third MSA Wednesday Night Race attracted

The 1-2-3- Winner were  Rod, Stephen and Dino.

The race was considered to have been one of our best. The variable and shifting winds favored each boat differently and on the first leg each boat held the lead at some point.

Park Provides a Port’ O Potty

Acting on your direction at the AGM, members of the executive asked the Park for improvements to the facilities. The Park agreed. This should represent significant savings for the MSA. The new unit just arrived which will allow us to return the rented facility soon.

MSA-Park relations are key and we are all happy to see these type of positive happenings.

Thank you MSA executive and Park staff
